Save your hair!

As someone who knows her hair looks better the day AFTER it has been washed and looks even better when I don't wash it for a few days, I had to post this article I saw today. I agree with most of it. But I can;t wait as long as this writer in between washes because my hair gets limpy and oily.

Let me know what you think? Have you tried or would you try dry shampoo? How much are you willing to spend?

Springy, ScHairy photos

Welcome to April! Spring has sprung and with it the heat and humidity. And I am in Florida! Today it was 90-plus degrees here. So with that in mind, I pose this question to you: How does the humidity affect your hair, if at all? Mine gets frizzier than normal.

Not alone
A LONG time ago I met actor Mario Lopez's mom, Elvia, at a home show event in Miami where Mario was signing autographs. he was still a minor at the time so she had to accompany him. I asked her how she liked Florida. She said it was great but the humidity was ruining her hair. And this is a Hispanic woman from San Diego, nonetheless. If it can happen to her, it can happen to any of us.
STATE of mind?
I wonder if my hair would behave better if I lived somewhere else. I have spent some time in Denver and my hair did seem easier to tame when I was there. But for someone who has lived in Florida her whole life. I don't have many experiences to compare it to. So how about you? Share your hair story.

The photo above is of me, after my hair has been flat ironed at a professional salon. It was very time consuming but it is how I wished my hair looked all the time. It never looks this straight no matter how much I flat-iron it myself. We always want what we don't have. I need to learn to embrace my natural style because I know that too can be beautiful.
